JuiceFuel ("JuiceFuel", "we", "us") is a household meal-planning app — meal plans, recipes, shopping lists, and shared households. This policy explains what personal data we process and why. It applies to the JuiceFuel iOS app and the web app at juicefuel.juicecrew.vip.
Data we collect
- Account data — your email address, display name, and (if you use Google or Apple sign-in) the basic profile those services share. If you sign up with a password, we store only a securely hashed version, never the password itself.
- Content you create — recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, ingredients, and the households you belong to or share with others.
- Photos you scan — when you use recipe scanning, the image you capture is sent to our AI provider to extract the recipe. We don't retain the raw image beyond what's needed to process it.
- Text you submit to AI features — recipe prompts and URLs you import are sent to our AI provider to generate or normalize a recipe.
- Technical data — basic request logs (e.g. IP address, timestamps) needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use it
- To provide the app: authenticate you, sync your data across web and iOS, and enable household sharing.
- To power AI features you choose to use (recipe generation, URL import, photo scanning).
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Service providers
We share data only with the providers that run JuiceFuel:
- Supabase — database and file storage (hosted in the EU, Frankfurt).
- Vercel — application hosting.
- OpenAI — processes recipe text and scanned images for the AI features (United States).
- Google and Apple — only if you choose to sign in with them.
Some providers are located outside your country; where required we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Retention
We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, except where we must retain limited records to comply with law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, or to delete your account, contact us at the address below.
Children
JuiceFuel is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
